How coaches can promote their podcast and get more clients
In order to consistently get new coaching clients with your podcast, you’ll need to promote your episodes consistently.
The more of your ideal prospects that watch your episodes, the more clients that you’re likely to get as a result.
And there are 5 tried and tested ways to get your podcast episodes in front of your ideal prospects and that’s what I’m going to be talking about in this video.
1. Share in Facebook groups
There are a ton of Facebook groups out there and if you did a search, you’re highly likely to find some that your ideal prospects already hang out it.
All you need to do is join the ones with a highly active community and share your episodes in there.
But you don’t want to do this randomly or in a spammy way, as your post could be removed or worse, you could get banned from the group.
What you want to do is share your episodes in a way that provides value to the group.
And a great way to do this is by consistently answering questions of other group members, liking, sharing and commenting on relevant posts, and when an opportunity arises to promote your show, you share it in the group.
The cool thing about Facebook groups is that you can get instant feedback on your episodes and if you use it correctly, you could pick up some clients as well.
2. Share on social media
We live in the social media age, and if you already have a social media account like Instagram, Facebook or even Tik Tok, you could share your podcast episodes on them.
A really cool way to do this is by repurposing your podcast episodes into micro-content like images, Audiograms or infographics, and posting these on your social media accounts.
Doing so consistently should help you attract new followers on these platforms and ultimately drive traffic to your podcast which should lead to you getting clients as a result.
3. Send to your mailing list
If you already have a mailing list before you started your podcast, you could promote your episodes to that list by sending them an email every time you publish a new episode.
This is one of my favourite ways to promote podcast episodes as you can track which of your subscribers are actually opening your email and clicking through to check out your podcast.
Which could come in handy when it’s time to pitch your services to the list.
4. Optimize for search and the Youtube algorithm
This is a great way to drive a lot of traffic to your podcast episodes organically.
And you can do this by doing stuff like making episodes out of keywords that ideal prospects are searching for, using these keywords in the title, description and tags when you upload your videos and encouraging your viewers to like, comment or share your videos after watching.
Doing so will help your podcast episodes rank high when your ideal prospects search for these keywords, and it will help the Youtube algorithm recommend your podcast episodes to people that are similar to your ideal prospects.
5. Promote with Youtube Advertising
One of the reasons I love and recommend Youtube for podcasting is because it’s got an excellent advertising platform – the Google Ads platform.
With this platform, you can reach thousands, if not millions of your ideal prospects pretty quickly.
And you don’t need a massive budget to run ads, you can do so from as little as $1 a day, but you’ll need to have the right strategy so that you don’t waste your money.
It does take some time and a lot of testing to get right, but once you do, you could instantly drive the right kind of traffic to your podcast episodes on demand, which should lead to you getting new clients as a result.
